Tip

Quickly find Wikipedia articles

Here's a quick way I've recently found to quickly find Wikipedia articles using google.

Just enter the term you want to read about in the google search box, and add the word 'wiki' to the list of the search terms. The first result will usually be the article you're looking for!

For example, to find the Wikipedia article on "Coca Cola", just type in "coca cola wiki".

In Firefox use the following url for a bookmark and asign a keyword (for example wp) to it. http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=%s+site%3Awikipedia.org&btnI= Entering 'wp linux' will take you directly to the desired page.

Of course, if you use the wonderful YubNub (http://www.yubnub.org), you can just type in 'wiki coca cola' or 'wp coca cola'. Ain't that wonderful.

re: firefox keywords: Don't you need to point to the "I'm Feeling Lucky" version of the URL? If not using keywords in firefox an equivalent to the above solution is to put the following search in the google search box: coca cola site:wikipedia.org
