Sunglasses Fashion for Every Face Shape

Summer is here and designer sunglasses fashion is again on everyone’s mind. While some choose celebrity sunglasses to keep up with the latest trends; others go for the brand, such as Rayban sunglasses or Oakley sunglasses. Ask any sunglasses expert and they will be unanimous. You can never go wrong with sunglasses fashion that fit your face shape. If you’re clueless as to which face shape are you, read on and see which sunglasses fashion will complement your face. Don’t you worry; this tutorial will remind you of your kindergarten days. You won’t be reading any shape that you cannot spell.

1. Oval – The most ideal shape for all sunglasses frames is the oval shape. Because of its symmetry, the oval face shape will go well with any sunglasses shape as long as they are proportionate to your face. The oval shape is has a well-proportioned face with a jaw that gently tapers to the chin.

2. Square – Carefully examine the width of your face along the forehead and the cheekbones. A square-shaped face usually has the same width in these areas and has a heavy jaw line. Balance the square face with rounded, curvy, or fluid sunglasses. Try to add more length to your face by looking for sunglasses that do not follow the widest part of your face.

3. Rectangle – The rectangular face shape has the same features as the square face shape but only differs in the length of the face. A rectangular face will have face length that is longer than the face width. To shorten the length of the face, look for sunglasses fashion that has circular and deep features.

4. Round – People with faces that are round will have the same face width and length and has soft edges. To balance a face with no angles, angular sunglasses will create an illusion of a thinner and longer face.

5. Triangle – A triangular face usually has a wide jaw line that narrows upwards towards the cheekbones. The triangular face also has a narrow forehead which should be balanced with strong-framed sunglasses to give more emphasis to the top portion of the head.

6. Inverted triangle – People with an inverted triangle face shape has a narrow chin with the forehead as the widest portion of the face. The cheekbones are narrower than the forehead but wider than the chin. Rimless sunglasses that are set low will balance the inverted triangle face.

7. Diamond – The diamond-shaped face has the widest part of the face along the cheekbones. It tapers upwards along the forehead and downwards towards the chin. The forehead and the jaw are narrower than the cheekbone length and the chin is pointed. Complement your diamond face with rimless Gucci sunglasses that are oval or shaped and you’ll have a sure winner.
