2 tips on presentation

Make people quiet at your presentation

If people are talking while you are holding your presentation - you should make them quiet, because they are making both you and the rest of the audience distracted. But don't be rude - the last thing your audience wants is to see their presented gets upset on someone in the crowd.

The way to do it is by asking the talkers if they have any question you can help them with. This should usually do the trick.

Making a good presentation - less is more

Your presentation slides should never contain a lot of text:

1. It makes it difficult for the audience to quickly get the general idea of the slide.

2. Your audience will just read the slide instead of listening to you.

3. You will be tempted to just read the slides out loud, which will make a lousy presentation!

Instead, the text on your slide should give an overview of the things you are going to discuss, and serve as a reminder for you.
